Greenclose - our base in the Dales

Greenclose House has been the headquarters of the Northern Pennine Club since the mid-fifties, and was purchased in 1967 (having previously been leased). It is a stone-built farmhouse just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

A large common room is adjacent to the large, well equipped kitchen. The rear extension houses a gear area, a very efficient drying room, showers and toilets. A smaller quiet room forms the library, with extensive collections of caving literature and surveys available to full and provisional members.

Upstairs are four bedrooms. One has large alpine style bunks on two levels, two smaller rooms with individual bunks and one room for members only.

Free WiFi is available in most of the building.

Accommodation rates are £8 per night for guests and £5 per night for members.
