On the weekend of the 14th February (Happy Valentines day Everyone) the NPC hosted our winter dinner, this was a fun weekend of walking, talking, eating, drinking, CPR-ing and of course caving
The Friday brought about the usual festivities at the busy cottage with beer, red wine and chees to numb the senses
On the Saturday day time caving, walking and cafeing was on the cards. We had trips down whitescar (which was wet) and F-ing hopeless (which was pretty)
In the evening Carly demonstrated how to carry out CPR and use of the new defibrillator
The meal commenced in the evening at Bentham Golf Club, I hosted my quiz, everyone got the right desert (eventually) and Chris Curry did a fantastic talk on the Roughlea Cave system (inspiring many cavers no doubt)
After the meal more drinks were had before we made our way to the hut and I commenced the secret “Find the sheep game” 50 tiny sheep were hidden around the cottage and members had five minutes to collect as many as they could. This was won by Ade who picked up a bottle of wine for his pleasure

Some sheep may have got drunkenly rehidden so keep your eyes peeled around the cottage for the next few years
Sunday came and several people went walking, a trip to Lost Johns also commenced, some people also stayed the Sunday evening for some extra caving Monday
Thank you to Chris Curry for the talk, Clive Westlake for the use of the projector, Adrian Turner for his AV skills, Pink for paying the bills, Lumens for doing the quiz answers while I hid sheep and everyone else involved
