Robinson Crusoe Pot

SD 690764
Alt. 1,2OOft.
Depth 50ft.

Location - follow wall from the Mohole towards valley edge. Pot is near valley edge in a clint 20ft. from the north side of the wall, double line of stones leads to pot - it is so difficult to find. Lies almost due south of Sheepfold Pot.

Entrance is boulder covered clint - please replace - 20ft. descent leads to short walking size passage to 8ft. high x 10ft. x 12ft. chamber floor of boulders leads to 25ft. descent where someone had dug to short crawl and total mud choke and formations. Returning to the foot of the clint climb a blockage blocks an upstream continuation that may repay some work. The system is very old and appears to be a phreatic and vadose fragment on the same level as the upper phreatic level in Large Pot. Solitary Foot Prints? + obvious shoring + digging means someone has spent some time there, but no record appears to exist. The pot was rediscovered during numerous trips digging at Sheepfold Pot.
